Restorative Flow: Day 7 of the 10 Days Of Holy Yoga Challenge

September 17, 2017 By Kristen

Hey friend! We’re doing a 10 part video series to challenge you to hit your mat for 10 days in a row, and this video is Day 7. We’ll help bring some consistency to your life, and we’ll also cover several different aspects of holy yoga. You’ll get a lot out of this challenge whether you’re brand new or no stranger to the mat, so don’t skip out!

If you’re finding us for the first time, head over here to start with Day 1.

Many of you, like myself, like to go go go when it comes to working out. Hot and sweaty power flows, arm balances and inversions, HIIT workouts, running, etc. Few take the time to bring much needed restoration to tired and broken down muscles.

This practice invites you to spend a longer amount of time in deep stretches which helps you find release in those muscles. It also forces you to practice stillness in your anxious heart and mind.

Sometimes we stay busy because we don’t want to deal with things. It’s easier to work hard physically and stay distracted than it is to quiet ourselves before God and allow Him to speak to those areas. It’s time to bring restoration to your soul and release those anxious thoughts and feelings in surrender to the Lord!

Regardless of what you’re going through, park your heart on the truth that Psalm 46 promises: God’s sovereignty. He reminds us that when chaos is near, HE is nearer! We only need to be still before Him and receive this truth.
