Hey friend! We’re doing a 10 part video series to challenge you to hit your mat for 10 days in a row, and this video is Day 8. We’ll help bring some consistency to your life, and we’ll also cover several different aspects of christian yoga. You’ll get a lot out of this challenge whether you’re brand new or no stranger to the mat, so don’t skip out!
If you’re finding us for the first time, head over here to start with Day 1.
Meditation gets a bad rap, especially in some Christian circles. Like a lot of things, meditation itself is amoral (neither good nor bad). What makes the difference is the focus of the meditation.
Here at Christians Do Yoga, we [obviously] focus on Jesus and our relationship with Him. Instead of emptying our mind and detaching from reality, we focus our thoughts on a specific topic or verse and allow Christ to minister to our heart and soul. We are changed in His presence, and we invite Him into those parts of our being that are broken and weary.
Combining Christ-centered meditation with breathwork creates amazing encounters with the Lord, and can bring an overwhelming sense of love and peace.
Like a car out of alignment, our sinful nature bends us toward things of this world. Time spent in His presence helps put us back in alignment with Him, and I promise you’ll feel closer to Him after this video!
Whether you’re at home, at your desk in the office, or out and about, let’s take a few minutes to enter into His presence and breathe together!
