Hi friends! Sometimes it’s obvious when your hips are feeling tight, but sometimes it’s not. You may or may not notice tightness, and it doesn’t always come with pain or discomfort…until you try to do something that requires some hip flexibility!
So how do you know if you have tight hips to begin with?
If you’re a runner, or you do weight lifting, cycling, CrossFit, soccer, softball/baseball, competitive cheer, or anything even remotely strenuous, you are in the running for having tight hips and hip flexors!
Being active is great, but stretching those hip muscles is a must in order to stay at the top of your game!
If you work a job where you sit at a desk, lift heavy objects, or are on your feet for most of the day, you may begin to notice your glutes and lower back muscles feeling weak.
Taking time to stretch your hip flexors will help those muscles stay healthier and build faster. Ultimately, making you more efficient at work.
In this video we will lead you through a flow that will help release tightness and tension that is held in your hips & psoas muscles, and then we’ll wrap up in prayer.
This is easily something you can incorporate into your morning, afternoon, or nightly routine.
Let’s unroll our mats and start loosening up those hips!
