Hey friend! We’re doing a 10 part video series to challenge you to hit your mat for 10 days in a row, and this video is Day 9. We’ll help bring some consistency to your life, and we’ll also cover several different aspects of Christian yoga. You’ll get a lot out of this challenge whether you’re brand new or no stranger to the mat, so don’t skip out!
If you’re finding us for the first time, head over here to start with Day 1.
Warrior 1, 2, 3…
Warrior poses are foundational and it’s important to have a solid understanding of the common versions you’ll often use in your yoga practice.
We’re going to break down some basic warrior postures one at a time, and link them together with your breath. Then we’ll put them all together in a beautiful dancing warrior sequence.
Warrior poses, love them or hate them, are a great way to build strength from your core to the floor (abs, hips, glutes, legs) and stretch many muscles throughout the rest of your body. If you don’t already, you’ll learn to love them…even warrior 3!
Zephaniah 3:17 (NIV) says “The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
Let’s worship the One who sings over us: The Warrior who fights our battles and fights for our hearts.
