Yes! We believe Christians can and should practice yoga!
“You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind. And, Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Luke 10:27 (NLT)
This is the essence of the Christ-centered yoga! We believe that when you love God, self, and others in every area of your being (heart, mind, and body), you walk in the fullness of who God created you to be.
Let’s break this down…
Heart & Soul
During our yoga practices we focus on biblical intentions (scriptures, music, devotions, etc.) to encourage spiritual growth and connection with Jesus. Throughout our practice we take time to be still before the Lord and reflect on these intentions.
Mind
Breath is LIFE! It’s the first gift God gave us, and the last gift Jesus left us on this earth! Stillness and breathwork are essential to your wellbeing. Intentional breathing and Christian meditation brings peace and calmness to your mind and heart, clarity to your day, and a deeper awareness of Him, yourself, and others.
Strength
It’s no secret that our body, mind and heart are all connected. We don’t focus on just one or the other. Through mindful movements (obviously, we love yoga! But any movement will do) you’ll access the deeper longings of your heart (restore, revive, release, etc.) and awaken a part of you that you didn’t know existed! Exhausting the body through movement creates more space in the mind to surrender your thoughts and RECEIVE in a deeper way.
When you practice this way, it’s a form of worship.
Seek Him daily through worship, prayer and devotion. Be still before the Lord and allow Him to pour into your heart in a way that only He can do! Move your body to develop strength, energy, and endurance to help you do the things you were created to do!
Yoga is an excellent way to do this, which is why we love it! Worship Jesus, revitalize your heart, calm your mind, and strengthen your body!
